In July, 2013 I got admission in NEI INDIA for a film editing course which was a 4 months course. I had to pay Rs.10,000 as the down payment. Then as their payment scheme Rs.8000 I used to pay each month for a couple of month. Because the course was about Rs.26,000 gross. But after paying my last installment I didn’t atten any class for some of my personal problem. Now my complaint is, they told me that if I don’t pay the installment in a week, they will stop my classes. For that reason I paid that in a week. But now I want my last installment of Rs.8000 back. Because I didn’t atten the last month for which I paid the money.

Peeping Tom heart doctor is struck off

A DOCTOR who rigged up spy cameras in his bathroom to film female colleagues naked in the shower has been struck off.

Cardiologist Vivek Baliga, 33, hid the camera behind a pile of boxes to video women work friends who were invited to stay after nights out.

He then transferred the footage to his laptop which he would watch for his own pleasure.

Baliga, a student heart doctor, admitted three charges of voyeurism last year. He was sentenced to complete a 10-year sex offender’s programme alongside a three-year community order.

But now his disgrace is complete after he was struck off the medical register.

A Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service panel said: “The panel has concluded that your actions are fundamentally incompatible with you continuing to be a registered medical practitioner.”

Baliga was living in Horsforth, Leeds, when he invited a woman doctor and her boyfriend to stay at his home after a pre-Christmas night out in December 2009.

But while using his en-suite shower the following morning, the woman became suspicious about boxes piled against the bathroom window.

She found the recording device and immediately told her boyfriend. They fled and reported Baliga to the police, who discovered more illicit footage on his computer.

This showed the same woman showering at her own home and another woman doctor using the toilet at her home.

The footage was taken between September 2007 and December 2009.

Prosecutor Carmel Pearson told Leeds Crown Court: “They considered him a close friend. Both had considered him part of their social group and had allowed him into their homes.”

Ms Pearson said Baliga had suggested using the en-suite.

“While she was showering she discovered a video camera. It was switched on and had recorded her taking a shower. She was horrified.

“He then bombarded Miss A with texts and phone calls begging for forgiveness. His life would be ruined if she reported him to the police.”

In their judgment on Tuesday the MPTS panel said: “The offences for which you were convicted were serious and for your own sexual gratification.

“They were pre-meditated, repeated and carried out over a prolonged period of time. The panel is of the view that your actions fell far below the proper standards of conduct and the behaviour expected of a doctor.”

Mumbai: Over 15,000 investors cheated in the name of god

Mumbai, Nov 23: Another Stock Guru-like scam has been unearthed which exploited the devout. Around 15,000 investors from the Christian community were duped in an investment scheme that promised a tour to Israel for six days, investment for a divine tower, schools and hospitals for the poor.
 
The scheme was a perfect narrative to lure investors in the name of religion. Many from the Christian community like Clement D’Souza fell for the VCare scheme, putting their entire retirement money, only to receive nothing in return. "I invested more than Rs 18 lakh of my retirement money into this scheme," he told CNN-IBN.

While the company has been sealed by the Thane Police’s Economic Offences Wing, the investors have already lost their money. Officials say the scam is to the tune of over Rs 34 crore. The promoter, Sunil Saldanha, has been chargesheeted and the case is up for hearing in courts.

Indian-origin doctor Vivek Baliga disgraced in UK

LONDON: An Indian-origin cardiologist who set up spy cameras in bathrooms to record images of his women colleagues, has been ordered to a 10-year sex offender treatment programme.

Vivek Baliga, 33, appeared before the Leeds Crown Court, where Judge Scott Wolstenholme told him that he would receive a community order for three years.

He said Baliga’s behaviour would be ‘considered by almost everyone to be disgusting and despicable’.

In addition, he said Baliga was prohibited from approaching either of the victims and he is barred from operating any device capable of recording images, the Daily Mail reported today.

Baliga, who is studying for a PhD in Leeds, pleaded guilty to three counts of voyeurism against the two doctors.

Prosecutor Carmel Pearson told the court that Baliga set up the recording devices between September 2007 and December 2009 to store the films of his two female friends on his laptop.

Pearson said: “They considered him a close friend. Both had considered him part of their social group and had allowed him into their homes.”

One of the doctors discovered she had been videoed when she visited Baliga’s home on 13 December 2009 with her boyfriend.

The defendant suggested she use the shower in his en-suite bathroom.

Pearson said: “While she was showering she discovered a video camera. It was switched on and had recorded her taking a shower. She tried to delete the images of her. She was horrified. She went back to the bedroom and told her partner. They left without speaking to the defendant. He tried to stop them from leaving. They just drove off”.

She added: “He then bombarded Miss A with texts and phone calls begging for forgiveness. His life would be ruined if she reported him to the police.”

Pearson said that after a great deal of consideration she finally reported the matter to police.

His computer equipment was seized and it was discovered that he had taken a camera to another woman’s house and installed it in her shower and a toilet.

Richard Reed, lawyer for the defendant, said his client was of previous good character and was full of “profound regret and remorse for his behaviour”.

He said the implications for him were ‘far-reaching’ with the General Medical Council investigating his behaviour.

“He has had to disclose these offences to employers and colleagues. That is enormously stressful and he now faces court,” he said.

In a text message to one of his victims, Baliga wrote: “I am thoroughly ashamed of myself. I made the biggest mistake of my life. I will never forgive myself. I will regret it forever. I have lost a good friend. I am an idiot.”

Balkrishna Purnekar demands CBI probe into V-Care cheating case

Thane district Congress committee chief Balkrishna Purnekar has urged Maharashtra chief minister Pritviraj Chavan to order a CBI enquiry into the alleged multi crore cheating case by city-based V-Care group of companies, whose owners have been accused of duping gullible devotees in the name of God.

In a memorandum, Purnekar said the local police which had registered a complaint in the case had not done much progress since the last 3-4 months.

The company owner Sunil Saldhana and wife Rosita, are now absconding after they allegedly cheated many people in Mumbai of crores of rupees, he said.

They talked people into investing and multiplying their money with them over the years and then fled with crores of money. Many innocents have lost their life time earnings to them. Hence fast action should take against the guilty and all those involved with the V-Care fraud, the leader demanded.

Last year, several people had through consumer complaints and other websites raised their voice and warned the people about the fraud Thane company.

One Monica Musharraf from Mumbai had stated in the consumer complaints website that the company, which dealt in concept selling business, has managed to fool around 44,000 people all these years.

The company has been targetting all poor and middle class people to invest in their schemes and assured them more than three fold money in return on the amount they invested, it was alleged.

The incidents came to light when Lancy D'Souza of Andheri lodged a complaint at Naupada police station here of being cheated by the Manglorean couple.

After an FIR, police raided the company office and took into custody, directors Balraj Mallik, 32, Anju Pandey, 25, and Deepali Patil, 26. D'Souza alleged in the complaint that the Saldanha couple, who are absconding, cheated as many as 45,000 people from Mangalore, Pune, Bangalore and Dubai.

Apart from this, he also assured investors of providing them flats and a travel to Israel people, D'Souza has alleged in his complaint.

Police have registered a case under section 406, 420, 34 and are looking for the culprits.

The Saldanhas also organised the first transgender beauty queen pagaent in Mumbai recently and invited celebrities like Zeenat Aman and Celina Jaitley for the event.
